Health-care Workers Begin to Feel Mental Health Effects of Pandemic

Today is #BellLetsTalk Day, and it’s more important this year than ever as many mental health services are experiencing sharp increases in demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the pandemic continues, numerous health-care and front-line workers continue to work long, consecutive hours to take care of those in need. To better support their mental health and well-being, advocates and experts are starting to voice concerns that this group of people is just as vulnerable to the same mental health hardships as anyone else. They are asking for supports and resources to assist them with stress stemming from COVID-19.
